Day 2,3

We have entered Mexico and started south. Our goal for the day was to get to a lovely town called Saltillo. As we started off, things went fairly smooth until we hit the first set of Mexican federales. They stopped us about 45 minutes into out trip and approached us on the bikes. It always a little more intimidating when you can barely get by in espanol. They asked to see all our papers chit chat awhile if you call it that and we were off. Interesting to note as the federales appraoch you very differently than american officers as they come up and shake hands as we were long term chums..kinda cool.

We then did a bit of highway riding to get into Monclova and that´s when things got a little fun. We stopped for strecth and drink and aqua and started out with broken kill switch and busted fan. So as we left Monclova with two bikes under wraps we had are second running with the Mexican law. As we waited for the guys with the broken bikes to get thru town 3 of us jumped behind an alley to take a leak and wouldn´t you know the federales were there to greet us when we turned around. After about 20 mintues of delightful conversation with many hand gestures including a long snake gesture from the torso they let us go with a warning. Wow 2 strikes were still not out. The federales have been quite patient with the sloppy americans so far.
