Day 4

We held up in Santillo for the night and it was a fairly tiring day so we crashed pretty early. We did get a chance to look around and it was a sunday and a cool fiesta was going on in centro aremas plaza. We woke up next morning ready to tackle the bike problems and wow what hospitality the Mexicans had. We asked around a bit and in no time we found a, how do you say, magnifico mecanico. He fixed Randall broken fan in no time. It was estupendo service as they dropped everything and came to the rescue. It was just like the movie motorcycle diaries and props to Armando the mechanic who helped us out. All the locals and bike shop employees gathered around to watch the scene.

After the repairs back on the road. Its been mucho frio with temps with highs only in the mid 50´s. I thought Mexico was supposed to be mucho calor.....EL WRONGO

We kept our bikes inside a courtyard in Matehuala ..another wonderful bit of Mexican hospitality.

We are now off onward and southward to a town called San Miguel de Allande...Cant wait till it warms up.
